Ok bar, but too many bears not enough mixed ages

Only bar in town for someone over 35, but wish it had a few more butch younger guys, im not into heavy older bear types, tho it is a a real man looking bar which is nice, mildly friendly. Its the only place I go when im in town. Would like to see more country music mixed in with the other junk...im total country fan and no im not going over to the druggie bar of Charlies. John King needs to burn that place down and start over. Beer bust is very good on sunday with big crowd the modern rock and rap totally for my taste.

been going since it opened

The Wrangler works very well for me but I realize it isn't for everyone. But for those of us that want an alternative to what is usually seen in gay bars, this is THE one. The beer busts are great and Saturday nights are very good. During the week it's more of neighborhood/local type place where groups of friends that have been going to the place for years like to gather.

Avoid this Bar

If you didn't graduate from a high school in Denver, you should definitely avoid this place on Friday and Saturday nights. Thiis is one of the most unfriendly bars that I have every stepped into. The "sisters" travel in pairs or foursomes and if you approach them you get attitude and a cold shoulder. If they are not with their "sister's" then they are traveling with a couple of bonified women who most of the time are drunk and insulting. It can be 90 degrees and they are still dresses in an oxford button down shirt and tan shorts. Must be the dress code for the Denver area. The bartenders, for the most part are friendly, but depending on who you go to the price of the drinks can differ for $1 to $3 dollars. You would think that in Colorado with all the outdoor sports these men would be somewhat in shape. Think again. If your type is overweight white men, then you will be in heaven. and I not talking about bears.
