I love Hefeweizen Beer!
The emphasis here is on the food. It's very German, but in all honesty there is something for everyone. The dinners come with a variety of options varying from different types of salads, soups and vegetables. I love the Beef Rouladen, but there are different types of pork, veal, etc. All very tempting and reasonably priced. They have an excellent desserts and a nice bar. The atmosphere is nice, but leaves something to be desired. It's comfortable and the large bar is nice but it feels kinda strip-mallish though. That being said, I go for the food and the beer (it comes in three different sizes on tap.) It is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. It is more a meat and potatoes type place though.... I highly recommend it. They do have vegetarian options, they're just not my thing. I feel for downtown, it is one of the best. Save room for dessert. It's upstairs so you have to look for it.
