How The Center Began: Meet The Founders

The GLBT Community Center of Colorado celebrates the 40th anniversary of its creation by hosting How The Center Began: Meet The Founders, a panel discussion featuring seven founding members of the organization. The panel will share recollections of the early days of the gay liberation movement in Colorado and trace the steps of how diverse groups came together to create one of Colorado’s leading LGBT organizations. Seven of the eight known living founding members will take part in this special event: Gerald Gerash, Donaciano Martinez, Chris Sloan, Bill Olson, Richard Reed, Bob Janowski and Phil Nash. The event is sponsored by the Denver Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and First Unitarian Society of Denver. The free event will include a light lunch.
