Center Stage at The Greek Amphitheatre
Civic Center Park, Denver
Festival goers and guests are invited to bring their leashed pets to the Center Stage at the Greek Amphitheatre for a bit of fuzzy fun for the whole family!
Hosted by the incomparable Shirley Delta Blow, pet owners are to dress up their dogs in their best doggie drag to compete for prizes and trophies. In the spirit of diversity – this event is open to all pets. Please use leashes and cages appropriately.
Contest Categories:
• Most Unique Pet Costume
• Funniest Pet Costume
• Best Owner + Pet Costume (duo)
• Best Dog In Drag
Be Fun, Creative, and of course Respectful of your pet - as you dress to impress!
The contest will begin at 11:30a.m. on the Center Stage at the Greek Amphitheater. Registration will begin at 11:00a.m.
Bring ALL YOUR FRIENDS to cheer on Fifi and Fido!
Audience response will determine the winner in each category.
Water and shade will be provided for dogs.

Dogs In Drag: a Pet Costume Contest
Duration of contest not to exceed 30 minutes, out of consideration for pets and their humans.
On-line Registration:

A $5.00 donation is asked with each registration, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The GLBT Community Center of Colorado. Payment can be made on-line at time of registration.
Contestants may download the registration form in advance and bring this to the Center Stage or they can register the day of, on site. The $5.00 donation can be made in cash or check (payable to “The Center”).
Each registry will be will be limited to ONE PET PER PERSON.
Rules & Regulations
Dogs will need to be on leashes at all times and vaccinated.
No Snakes (per Denver Parks & Recreation ordinance).
No motorized/remote operated vehicles around animals.
The Contest Categories
Most Unique Pet Costume
Homemade costumes are often the best. Even a store-bought costume, can tip the scales with homemade details, so make it your own! The crazier the better!
Funniest Pet Costume
Think along the lines of what would Scooby-Doo do, as you work to make your pet presented in a safe, yet humorous way. Fun & Funny is what this pet will be!
Best Owner + Pet Costume (duo)
It has often been said that many pets look like their humans (and vice versa), and this category allows you to test that theory. From Batman & Robin to Cagney & Lacey, get creative and maximize on the two of you making the perfect duo. One lucky look-alike pairing will take home the trophy!
Best Dog In Drag
If your pooch were going to be judged by RuPaul, whatever would they wear?! Tutus, afro wigs, feathers and sequins are often seen, as dogs get to glam-out during in this category. Go big, or go home!
*Dogs In Drag: a Pet Parade Contest will be emceed by Shirley Delta Blow and DeMarcio Slaughter, who will offer additional instructions and show direction at time of event, based on number of pets participating.
