Bar Wars is the one day a year when bartenders from your favorite Denver bars battle it out to prove that they have what it takes to be called "The Best". And guess who's the judge... YOU ARE! Bar Wars 2015 will Feature Bartenders From All Your Favorite Participating Bars (current confirmed bars listed below): Aqua Lounge Black Crown Blush & Blu The Barker Lounge Broadway's BoyzTown The Eagle Hamburger Mary's Lil' Devils Tracks The Denver Wrangler X Bar Bar Wars is a fundraising event which benefits Denver Colorado AIDS Project’s (DCAP) Food Bank. All funds raised for the event are used to help DCAP provide over 200,000 meals annually to over 1,500 HIV-positive individuals in the Denver metro area. How Bar Wars Works: Participating bars will receive points for competitions held prior to the event (to determine which bartender will be sent to Bar Wars) and at the event on Jan 31. Points from day-of-event competitions will be totaled to reach the final scores determining the victor of Bar Wars! 1. Pre-event Voting: Send your favorite bartender to Bar Wars by purchasing $1 placards at each participating bar in the weeks leading up to the event. Bartenders earn one point for each placard sold. Only one bartender from each bar will go to Bar Wars so be sure to cast your vote for your favorite! 2. Mixology: On the afternoon of the event, a $15 entrance donation (credit cards accepted) will get you a wristband, which will allow you onto the event floor and Bar Row to sample each of the cocktails being created by each bar, as well as 5 voting chips to be cast for their favorite creation in each round. Mystery Ingredient Patrons may place additional votes, at the cost of $1 by adding cash to the labeled chip containers (ATM present with staff available to break bills) Good luck! *The donation amount and the attending bartender placards do not count toward total score on the day of the event.
