2013 is our 5th Annual Denver Dyke March and Rally. Ladies, get your bikes shined, your walking shoes ready, and your pride gear blinged. Join us at BLush and Blu on Colfax and Franklin for the Dyke March Rally; 2 hours of Denver's finest Lesbian performers and artists, then we gear up to march down Colfax to Civic Center Park at 4pm. Bring your best friend, your best walking shoes, and make some signs to bring along on the march this year.
We will have a "best protest sign" contest this year at the Rally, so make sure you put your thinking caps on and bust out the markers. For the bikes, we will also be having a "most spirited bike" award. This means if you are riding your bike in the march we want you to deck it out in the most "Prideful" way. The best dressed bike will also be judged and awarded a prize.
The Rally will be hosted by non other than Onyx Steele. Any entertainers interested in performing this year are asked to email Onyx at onyxsteele@gmail.com. Open auditions will be held May 11th at BLush on Colfax and Franklin at 7pm. We are also asking local Lesbian artists to present works of art at the Rally this year as well, again anyone interested in participating, please contact Onyx by email no later than May 20th with a digital portfolio of art examples.
