This place has really gone down hill. Since Ms C's closed, the lesbians and thei friends have taken over what used to be a cowboy bar. If there was another c/w bar to go to, I would.

I cant say this place is the wrost but its always been the place were the Freaks go ??? not to be mean and talk shit ... allover okay if you like cowboys this is your type of bar .. I think that Charlie's could be alot better in price's in drinks and better staff other then Rude Cow Boys that dont care about there Customers i remember when every thursday this was the place to be but now alot of gay's would not give it a second thought about going here ... But i did meet my Husband of 7 years here :)

Charlies mixture mosty over 24 crowd. western music in back techo in front and in fron bar diffeent nites have sun drag show thursdays karoke nite and more. nice crowd friendly staff and all. recommend this bar for fun firday sat best.

DON'T LISTEN TO RUMORS

I had heard the rumors that John King, had fired the entir staff at Charlie's Denver, from a manager at Charlies' PHX. Well, I made a special trip to Denver, to check this out and found it to be 100% false! Also, heard the rumor from a bartender in a bar in Vegas, that Charlie's Denver had pretty gone straight and again, this was false! I travel the US and Canada, for horse shows and rodeos and found Charlie's Denver, to be the best gay Country and Western bar around. John H., (Manager) has the greatest and friendly staff ever!!!!!! This is a club not to miss.

What happened here

I am from Billings and make frequent trips to Denver. I have always had good service and the bar was in good shape. Now this bar probably is not the bar a bunch of young people are going to enjoy, however it was always a nice place to meet a regular crowd of people instead of the upity up I ran into at other clubs.

This is a horable place to go. The celing has tarp all over the place. This makes me nervice waling around and with my luck, I will get a "susprise" from above. The bartenders are gerks and most of all, they are the only bar that will not serve Jeger bombs shots. Very bad service. The other thing I did not like is that this seems to be the "hot" spot for all the run down homeless boies who cant get enought action.

low key place

This bar is a sort of scruffy place, and definately not for the Pretty Club Clone type. It's down to earth, with emphasis on earth. BUT, it is also very low attitude. It's a good place if you're looking for a place to relax and have a drink.

What's a guy to do at night when he's staying in Denver on business for 5 weeks?? Try just about every bar in town...that's what. This place perplexed me. First off I'm not sure why the city even allows them to be open. Back where I'm from they'd be closed for safety violations... the roof seemed to be leaking in several places making the floor slick. The bar staff in general were not friendly at all...the overall theme was confusing...is it a country bar, a mainstream dance bar? It can't seem to make up it's mind. The best thing about this place is it's central location but it's not really worth it.

Ignorant bar with ignorant staff

This bar is a disgrace. I went there 12-14-07 and was very disappointed. After walking up to the bar we waited about 5 minutes for the bartender to come over and take our drink order. He saw us, ignored us and kept talking to his friends. The crowd looked like they just came off the street. Don't waste your time with this place.
